| Footnotes from the periphery Lee Salomone South Australian Living Artists Week 1-8 August Footnotes from the periphery is a year long project looking at news and social memory: what is remembered, what is forgotten, what is important and what is superfluous. The medium here is the daily newspaper, its articles, journalists and contributors,... creating the notion of a collective artwork. The artist as visual editor uses the front page tabloid as the visual format. It is a diary of 1998, exploring via the daily news the local, global, public and private. -Lee Salomone Lee Salomone lives in Adelaide and has been invloved in a number of public art projects in Adelaide since the late 1980s.
