Paul Sloan works in the medium of drawing and painting and has recently been creating three dimensional works and installations. For his exhibition at the EAF the artist will install new work, an expanded selection of the things that make his paintings work the way they do – drawings, paintings, sculptural objects, & audio traces – gathered in a way that resembles a 'mini-museum' of pyschic souvenirs.

Be warned though, or rather, expect the unexpected. At his appearance for the 2008 EAF Artists Talk series – Particle Theory? Wave Motion! – Paul Sloan enlightened (enlived?) the audience as to the inner psyche of 'the artist' by performing a set - Artist on drums, Elephant on bass, Gingerbread man on synth. And he’s good behind a drum kit too. Ken Bolton wrote for that series;

'Paul Sloan has been amongst us just a few years—& is working hard, forcing his work thru numerous changes, adapting it to numerous contents. Or is his practice a kind of hungry maw that would engulf the world if it could, & just might?'
